Much Sadness......We are CLOSING!

It comes with much sadness that I write this post....

I have reached a new turning point in my life where I can no longer continue the ways things are. Some changes and decisions needed to be made.

So it comes with great sadness that I inform all my loyal readers and customers that I will be closing Brittannahlee Stamp & Scrap from here on....

My journey over the past 12 years has been a fabulous and memorable.. One I could not have done without many of you. And I would not be the person I am today without all of the fantastic people in my life!

I will be having 1 more closing / Clearout Sale at the shop ONLY!!

Our online store will be closing immediately with NO more orders being shipped!

If you require something we MAY still have... please send me an email or keep an eye out on our facebook page for our clearance specials...

One final newsletter will be forwarded shortly with the date of our clearance sale for those able to attend (in shepparton @ shop).

So once again... Thank You from the bottom of my heart for all the messages of support, love and kindness you have shared! Our journey together has been awesome and I will never forget any of you!!

Here it is The New Challenge

As you know today is the release of the new challenge and it is a blind challenge below is the Ingredients and the Recipe 8 easy steps. You have until midnight 30th September to email you challenge through and the reveal of the LO will also happen then so get scrapping.

Blind Challenge

Material List

1 large photo (roughly 12 x 17 cm)
1 smaller photo (roughly 9 x 12 cm)
1 cardstock (this doesn’t have to be cardstock it can be patterned paper if you wish)
3 patterned papers (can use scraps) (Call these paper A, paper B and paper C)
Alphas
A heap of flat embellishments (can be die cuts, paper flowers, cut out shapes from patterned paper, ribbons, fibres etc)
Your own ideas for decorations

Recipe

Step One – Patterned Paper
Paper A - 2 rectangles shapes roughly 6 by 17 cm
Paper B - 2 rectangle strips roughly 3 by 17 cm
Paper C - 1 rectangle strip roughly 2 cm by 8 cm Step Two

Step Two -Patterned Paper Decoration
Decorate your patterned paper if you want to you can ink, sand, crumple, doodle, paint or whatever you wish to do. You can even leave it plain.

Step Three – Positioning the Patterned Paper
Paper A – place one of the rectangles roughly 6 cm from the left side of the cardstock and 3 cm down from the top of the cardstock. Place the second rectangle roughly 2 cm from the right side of the cardstock and 7 cm from the bottom of the cardstock.
Paper B – With one of the strips of Paper B over lap Paper A, roughly 6 cm from the top of the cardstock and 9 cm from the left hand edge of the cardstock. With the second strip over lap Paper A, roughly 3 cm from the right hand edge of the cardstock and 8 cm from the bottom edges of the cardstock.
Paper C – Where Paper A and Paper B over lap at the bottom of the cardstock overlap Paper C, roughly 4 cm from the right hand edge of the cardstock and 10 cm from the bottom edge of the cardstock.

Step Four – Photo Placement
Place the large photo roughly off centre of the cardstock. It is up to you which side you want to off centre it towards. Place the smaller photo slightly over lapping the bottom corner of the large photo, on the opposite side that you off centered the large photo on.

Step Five – Embellishments Using the flat embellishments that you have chosen run them in a wavy line from the bottom left corner of the cardstock up and over the bottom edges of the photos and then finish them off by running them over the bottom edge of the patterned paper. You will need to use flat embellishments because you will have to place your title over them.

Step Six – Title Placement Roughly where the two photos overlap place a large title. Then along the top right hand corner of the large photo place another title.

Step Seven – Journaling Place your journaling near the top right hand corner of the large

Back in the Land of Living?????

Well I seem to find it hard these days to find the meaning of "Land of the Living"!! If anyone can help me out, please email me!! hehehehe Not sure wether I am up or down at present!

It has been sometime since I have been here to post and so much has happened!

We have been toying with the idea of closing our business down completely BUT after all the lovely messages of support and unhappy emails (because you have no where to buy your supplies) we are vowing to continue as long as we can in the current conditions!

I am now working FULL TIME... such a HUGE shock after 12 years of kids and part time work.. but all is good. I love my new job as Stock Controller & Warranty Clerk at our local Toyota Dealership. Every day is a new challenge and whole new adventure!

In my spare time I am trying to keep the online store updated as much as I can... Please bare with me as sometimes it will be just be impossible to keep up to date (towards the end of month is going to be a killer)...

We will continue with our Saturday marathon crops & friday midnight crops bi monthly... Please keep up to date with dates and times via calendar on our website!

So finally, I would like to thank each one of you personally for baring with me whilst I undergo this HUGE transition in my life and heading back to work... but also for your patience whilst I bring you all the latest supplies at wonderful prices!

A little something to share!

Now that all my kitchen repairs have finally finished I got a chance to have a small play today!

I am attending the Little Rascals Baby & Childrens Market in a couple of weeks time here in Shepparton and thought I would try something a little different.. I came up with these cute little gift cards to add to a present or you could even add them to the front of a bigger card !

So what do you think?? Let me know your thoughts and would you like to know how to make them??

Maybe I could upload a tutorial for you to create some as well!

I have used crayola textas and Derwent watercolour pencils to colour them in.

No fancy techniques here...just basic colouring tools with basic technique... You can all do this too!

I put my gorgeous 8 year old daughter on the bus this morning off to school camp for the very first time! Hopes she has a wonderful time and we don't miss her too much!

I have some new things to share real soon, but to help us get through today, and me to make it through to Friday without my baby girl..., I thought we would have a giveaway...

Bo Bunny's Crazy Love Range

Sharynne sent the most amazing kit these papers are divine and so easy to put together although you might feel that they don't match trust the range it will match a manufacturer wont make a range that doesn't go together, so trust. The chipboard sticker and the paper stickers are absolutely fabulous to use and work so well be it a LO or a Card.

I have popped a couple of Green Tara flowers in which could be swapped for Kaiser or Prima.

Echo Park - Little Boy

Hi Fellow scrappers how are we all going... had a lovely visit with sharynne a couple of weeks ago before the the hectic school time started back and had a chance to have alook at what sharynne had for me to play with and i found a wonderful and cheery range called Little Boy by Echo Park... even though my little man is 5 I figured I could still find some way of making tis range work... well here is a couple of my layouts that i have been working on over the past couple of days....

And another one... this one took a bit more time as i has a bunting through the middle and lots of hand stitching... my many years of Cross stitch paid off in this one....

Oh and a close up...

I have done this sample for my 3 year olds bedroom... She just adores it! Hope you like it as much too...

This is the Kaisercraft 9 hole Photo display.. It looks gorgeous done in every range i have seen so far! And just wait till March's range Bubblegum Hills is released.. It is perfect for doing these photo displays!

You can jazz them as little or much as you like.. This is very plain but as my little girl helped me design it... this is what she wanted for her room!

Thinking a Card Swap?

Was thinking last night (yes and it hurt!!) and an idea came to me....

How about having a card swap... I am willing to host the swap every month, unless there is someone else who is willing, LOL, and we can share ideas and maybe learn something new...

Card Swap you ask?? Well it is about setting a theme for the month, and everyone who is registered makes cards for everyone else, and one for yourself of course, so if we have 8 people register - you would create 8 of the same card. You send them all into me with a self addressed envelope so i can send you back everyone elses creations.... It;s abit of fun and you will get some great creations back to give more and more ideas to create your own projects at home.

So who is in? Leave your name, email and a comment on this post if you wish sign up.... Please dont feel obligated if you sign up.. you can remove your name from the list at any time. And join us at any time...

Well I have returned once again from a very relaxing 2 weeks away...... Happy 2011 to you all..... Hope it is good to you all, stay safe, Be good, Enjoy and Have fun!

I should now be re-energised and rareing to go but somehow my MOJO got left on holidays.... Well for all I care he can stay there and I really don't need him... I can do all this without him.....

We have some fantastic additions we have added to the shop, both online and instore.... And alot more very yummy products coming!!

If this is what 2011 is going to be like, prepare to be broke cause there are alot of BRAND NEW products that are very yummy and are a MUST HAVE!.... I'm already counting the pennies and clearing way in my collection to put all my new stash as it arrives!!

I was at work yesterday dressed in my Christmas T-Shirt & Santa Hat when asked by an elderly lady, "Do you get paid to wear that hat"? "My reply - NO!.. To her reply... "Well you should insist"!

Now where has the christmas spirit gone! Everyone is rushing around the shops... Gloomy looking, dull, yelling, impatient etc etc etc....

The streets are not lined with decorations like they used to be... The houses aren't decorated with lights!!

Hello there everyone... Here we are with Day 4 today.....

I apologise that i didnt get back here yesterday with some winners but will do so this moring... Had a disaster with the storm yesterday, and water leaking in our kitchen ceiling! Rain gone now..so hopefully we can get it fixed before the rain comes again!

Yah!! I have found some time to make it back here and actually type something for you all to read!!!

I have been so busy organising our Girls Night In Weekend Retreat - which by the way was a HUGE success, even after having to change the venue due to not enough numbers. The Ladies that did attend had a ball..created some awesome projects, had some fun and made new friendships...

I have also been very busy creating all my personalised craft items for the Little Rascals Baby & Childrens Market to be held in Shepparton on November 28th... If you are a local..please drop by and check it out....There is sure to be something for you and there will be heaps of bargains to be found...New & Used baby & childrens products.... It is at Wesley Hall, Maude Street Shepparton from 9am - 1pm....

And apart from all of this... The silly season is in full swing! CHRISTMAS is just around the corner!! Santa will be squeezing down your chimney or through your keyholes before you know it... And to celebrate we will be doing our 12 Days of Christmas again.. Hi Janine here ,well with only 8 weeks till Christmas, scarey i know , I thought i would do the November challenge with Christmas gifts in mind .These are quick, easy and affordable gifts to make for family and friends or even secret Santa's. I just purchased a couple of $2.00 notebooks from my local junk shop and covered them.

So my challenge to you for November is using your scrap goodies cover a note book

Staying with the same theme as the scrap challenge but using our store colours we would like to see a card using all or just some of the store logo colours Pink, Blue and Purple... you have no restrictions to what you can use the world is your osyter.....
